SJV Harmony Day 2022

Monday 21st March 2022

SJV - Harmony Day 2022 - Save-the-Date

At our school, we have students and families from more than 40 different nationalities and we are proud of our multicultural community. Therefore, on Harmony Day 2022 on Monday 21st March the students will participate in activities that celebrate and recognise diversity and inclusion in Australia and at St John Vianney’s. Our students will participate in activities during the day as well as celebrate our multicultural diversity during our Harmony Day Liturgy

To celebrate Harmony Day, students can come dressed in one of the following options:

  1. In the traditional costume/dress of their home country or their parents’ country of birth;
  2. In the colour orange (the traditional colour of Harmony Day);
  3. In school uniform with a touch of orange.

Please note: it is not a free dress day. Please choose from one of the above options. Students might choose to bring a small flag from their country or drape a large flag over their shoulders.

We look forward to the great spectacle of colours and traditional costumes on 21st  March and to celebrating our cultural diversity with over 40 countries represented here at St. John Vianney’s Primary School Mulgrave. More information will follow in the next newsletter.
