Learning & Teaching Mathematics

What a great start we have had to the 2022 school year! Our students at SJW have been getting into Maths. 

Here is a snapshot of Term 1 Maths learning across the school.

Prep have been creating 3D objects and been shape investigators - identifying shapes in the environment.

Grade 1/2 have been busy collecting and representing data.

Grade 3/4 have been looking at 2D shapes, in particular quadrilaterals.

Grade 5/6 have been exploring addition and subtraction strategies and will be applying these strategies into Term 2, 3 and 4.

Parent Helper Course (2) will be held on Tuesday 3rd May at 8.45am in the SJW library.
