MOUNT PLEASANT'S GOT TALENT!!

MPGT is a whole school event that allows students to share their talents with the school community.  Students have the opportunity to audition individually, with a partner or group for a place in MPGT final. Students who make it to the final will perform in the last week of Term 2 on Wednesday 22nd June. Acts can be anything from singing and dancing, to comedy and puppet shows and should go for no longer than a minute. There is a separate senior and junior section and there will be 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners for both. Sign up sheets will be given to class teachers later this week. Students who wish to participate will be asked to sign up to Audition.  The Auditions will start Week 1, Term 2 in front of a panel of teachers who are eager to see the many talents of our students.

Inspiring the community

With school holidays' fast approaching I wanted to share with you some family friendly entertainment around Melbourne that you may like to take your little ones and not so little ones too.

Athenaeum Theatre, Melbourne, VIC - Guess how much I love you

The Children's favourite story book comes to life on stage.  Children will love this puppet performance as stage magic brings the characters from the story from off the page and into your hearts.

Australian Shakespeare Company - Tinkerbell and the dream Fairies

An enchanting world of song and dance, the adventurous Tinkerbell meets up with the fairies from A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Together, the cheeky Mustardseed, fluttery Moth, daring Cobweb and sweet Peaseblossom go on a magical quest with Tinkerbell. I know from experience that these shows are fantastic for little ones from bubs to primary school students.
