Kitchen Garden

In the Garden

The students have all been taking part in caring for the kitchen garden and as a result it is looking fantastic. The assistance with the watering means that we are regularly harvesting fresh produce. The Share Table on a Wednesday afternoon has been full of yummy plums, tomatoes, zucchinis, apples, and pumpkins. Thanks to Bev and the students for running the table on Thursday afternoon this week, I really appreciate it.

New mini hothouses have been made from the recycled hot house plastic and will soon protect new seedlings from the elements. The chickens continue to enjoy their freedom on a Wednesday and can be seen dusting themselves in all areas of the garden. Last year the 3/4 students titivated the planter boxes next to the tiny town with succulents, they are now looking beautiful and lush. Well done to Amelia and Lily for organising and sharing the produce on Wednesday. Mr Cations has made a new sandpit under the peppercorn tree at the front of the school. Several Senior Students worked together with him to fill the sandpit. Great job boys. The Foundation Students now have another exciting play area.
