Science Department Update

Check out what students have been up to in Science so far!

Year 7

Students in Year 7 have been learning about safety in the laboratory, scientific equipment and how to conduct experiments.

Here are some photos of students conducting the experiment called 'Rainbow Lab.'

Year 8

Students in Year 8 have been learning how to use the microscope, cells and their organelles. Here are some photos of students looking at pondweed and onion under the microscope.

Year 9

Year 12 Physics

Year 12 Physics students completed their assessment for the first outcome in Physics - ‘How do things move without contact’. These photos show them completing the practical part of the assessment today.

Year 12 Chemistry

Students in Year 12 Chemistry have been working hard focusing on investigating galvanic cells. Here they are pictured doing this.

We have a lot happening in Science this year, so looking forward to not only showing off the learning that students are doing in the classroom but what is happening out and about as well!
