Year 3

History - Our Story

This term, Year 3 has been busy learning about First Nations People and their connection to Country. They have also been reading different Aboriginal creation stories, also known as dreaming stories where they have identified the lessons and morals that have been handed down through the generations.

Year 3 has also been learning some Dharug greetings (our local Aboriginal language).  Be sure to ask them how to say hello!  Recently, they have discovered how our country and local area has changed, by investigating a variety of sources to help.

In keeping with using a variety of sources, Year 3 have also used their computer research skills to see what our community used to look like. They have made observations on the changes and  contributions made to our community to analyse what has changed and what has stayed the same.
