Welcome back to Term 2!  We are so impressed with the way all students have settled back into school, focused and ready to learn. 

IN OUR CLASSROOMS

Reading

In our reading sessions we have been making text-to-self and text-to-text connections and have been working to increase our vocabulary by exploring the origins of words.

Writing

Students have had a great time writing 'twisted fairytales' during our writing sessions and have come up with some great alternatives to traditional fairytales.

Maths

We have been exploring a variety of strategies such as bridging to 10, split strategy and the jump strategy to help us solve addition problems.

Inquiry

Our inquiry unit for the term is Science. Students have been researching climate, plants, animals and features of jungles and rainforests.
