AUSLAN UPDATE.

We have moved as a school from teaching KeyWord Sign to the more recognised and long-term purposed sign language called AUSLAN.  While you will not notice any real difference in what we have done so far, this means we are getting ahead of the NSW Department of Education's new "Modern Languages K-10" Policy which cites AUSLAN as a recommended language.  With the progress of Ms Hahn starting real Auslan training this week, we will be able to move beyond simple gestures to full sentences and conversations in the future.

Please understand that there are two "dialects" of Auslan and (where there are differences), because we live in NSW, we will be using the NORTHERN version.   More information is on the page attached, and if at any time you have any questions, please feel free to contact Ms Hahn at school to learn more!
