Principal's News

Mrs Gabrielle Espenschied

Dear Parents

As we finish our school term this week, I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate all our students and families on a wonderful Term 1 at St Mary's.

I invite all of our community to our end of term assembly on Wednesday 5th April at 2.00pm. The assembly will include the Holy Week service, Spirit of St Mary’s awards and our wonderful Easter raffle.

Students will then finish for term one at 1pm on Thursday 6th April.

A huge thank you to Hastings Bowling Club for their wonderful support of our senior students. Students in years 5 and 6 have been going to the bowls on Friday afternoons for the past few weeks. They have been learning the skills of bowling, led by local members of the club. Thank you to David Worthington and James Corkill for organising the event.

Thanks also to Lisa Galvin and Maddy Cipriano for leading the Summer Lightning Premiership last Thursday and to all staff who attended. It sounded like a wonderful day for all involved.

Enrolments

Enrolments are now open for 2024. If you know of anyone who would like to enrol their child at our wonderful school, please let them know to ring the office for a tour.

Uniform

We are so proud of who we are as a community at St Mary’s and wearing our uniform is one way we demonstrate our high standards and connection to our school. It is an expectation that all students wear the correct St Mary’s uniform. This includes the correct shoes, bags and coats. If you are suffering financial hardship, please do not hesitate to contact me as we have vouchers and donations from wonderful Parishioners to ensure our students all have access to the correct uniform.
