Principal Report

Evan MILLER - Principal

Dear Parents, Guardians, and Students,

I hope this newsletter finds you all in good health and high spirits. As we find ourselves in the midst of another enriching school term, I wanted to take this opportunity to highlight some incredible events and achievements that have taken place at our school.

First and foremost, I am thrilled to share with you the resounding success of the workshops conducted by Elephant Education and Man Cave. These organizations have been working closely with our students to provide them with valuable life skills, promoting positive mental health, and fostering healthy relationships. The feedback from both students and staff has been overwhelmingly positive, with participants reporting newfound confidence, improved communication skills, and a greater sense of self-awareness. We are extremely grateful to Elephant Education and Man Cave for their dedication and commitment to our students' well-being.

We are excited to announce the launch of our Cyber Safety Project Parent Webinars, a valuable resource designed to empower you with essential knowledge and skills to keep your children safe in the digital world. As we navigate the ever-evolving landscape of technology, it is crucial to equip ourselves with the tools necessary to protect our children online. We are pleased to offer two webinars on demand, allowing you to access the information at your convenience. These were run in Term 1 and earlier this term.

Additionally, we are thrilled to inform you that two more webinars will be available live online in Semester 2, providing an interactive platform for learning and discussion.

We encourage all parents to take advantage of these informative sessions as we work together to ensure the well-being of our students in the digital age.

In other exciting news, I am delighted to announce that a group of our talented students will be performing in the upcoming North East Victoria Region (NEVR) Concert, scheduled for next Monday 29th May at Hamer Hall. The NEVR Concert is a prestigious event that showcases the musical talents of young performers from schools across the region. Our students have been practicing tirelessly, and their dedication and passion are truly commendable. We wish them all the best on Monday when they perform.

Additionally, I would like to take this opportunity to extend my best wishes to our students as they prepare for the upcoming exam period in Week 7. I know that this can be a stressful time for many, but I have full confidence in our students' abilities and their dedication to their studies. Remember to utilize the valuable resources available to you, such as study guides, revision notes, and seeking assistance from your teachers. Take care of yourselves by maintaining a balanced routine that includes sufficient rest, exercise, and healthy meals. Remember, success is not solely measured by grades, but by the knowledge gained and the personal growth achieved throughout this process. Stay focused, stay motivated, and know that the entire school community is cheering you on. All the best in your exams!

On a broader note, I would like to take a moment to celebrate the ongoing success of our students in various domains. Our students continue to shine academically, creatively, and in their extracurricular pursuits. Their achievements in competitions, community service initiatives, and personal growth milestones are a testament to their hard work, determination, and the unwavering support of our dedicated staff and families. I couldn't be prouder of their accomplishments and the way they embody our school values.

Speaking of our school values, I want to emphasize the importance of respecting, accepting, and valuing one another. Respect for diversity, responsibility in our actions, resilience in the face of challenges, integrity in all that we do, and striving for excellence are the core values that define our school community. Let us continue to foster an inclusive and nurturing environment where these values guide our interactions and help us grow as individuals and as a collective.

In closing, I want to express my gratitude to all our parents, guardians, staff, and students for their unwavering support and enthusiasm. It is through our collective efforts that we create an exceptional learning environment where students can flourish and reach their full potential. As we move forward in this term, let us remain committed to fostering a culture of respect, responsibility, resilience, integrity, and excellence.

Thank you once again for being an integral part of our school community. I wish you all a productive and joyful remainder of the term.

Warm regards,

Evan Miller
