Messages from Mr Andrew Butler - REL & Wellbeing

Dear Parents and Carers,

Congratulations to all the Sacrament of Reconciliation candidates who made their First Reconciliation last Week. The children have now completed their 6 week program and this was celebrated in four prayerful and reflective ceremonies last week.

Thank you to the candidates, parents, and carers for your great support and to Sr Faustina and Father Joseph for all time and efforts in making this Sacrament so meaningful and recontextualised for the children.

This week is Holy Week and it culminates with Easter Sunday. Easter is the most significant celebration in the Catholic church. Here is a great short video that explains Holy Week and Easter. Please take a look!

May I take this opportunity to wish all our families a Happy Easter!

On Friday 31st March the year Six Term 1 Mini Vinnies hosted an Arcade Games Day to raise money for Project Compassion. The Year Six Leaders designed, made and ran their stall for all the classes throughout the day. This is student leadership and social justice in action and the students were absolutely amazing! Students have been learning about the work of CARITAS and Project Compassion helping those in need in Australia and overseas as part of the Catholic Mission.

Thank you to all the students, parents and carers who supported by donating a gold coin; it is greatly appreciated. We raised $565.85.

Overall it was a very exciting and fun day while raising awareness and funds for Project Compassion and those in need.
