Grade 3/4 Students

Writing:

In Writing, we have started learning about information reports and are focusing on identifying the features they must include. The students have been analysing different information reports and deciding which features are present and what might be missing.

Maths:

During Numeracy sessions, we have been working through our subtraction unit covering areas such as fact families, inverse operations, balanced equations and addition to work out subtraction questions. Our classes have enjoyed looking at the strategies we learnt in addition to help us work out the subtraction questions

Respectful Relationships:

Respectful Relationships is a favourite in our classes, and we have been focusing on the problem-solving unit. We have looked at the identifying communication skills that enhance relationships, identifying a range of conflict resolutions strategies and describing and applying strategies that can be used in situations that make them feel uncomfortable or unsafe. This topic has led to some insightful conversations and, as always, role playing situations has been a highlight!
