Grade 5/6 Students 

In 5/6 we have been busy working hard in all areas of the curriculum. It has been so wonderful to see all of the students engaged and energised about their learning. We have started looking at the Federation of Australia and looked at what was happening in Australia prior to this time. We’ve completed pre-assessments for our Multiplication and Division unit and have started targeted Maths groups, allowing students to work at their level. Literacy Circles have commenced and the students are super eager to read their books, share opinions and plot ideas with their group members. A select few (including two brave 5/6 teachers!) also battled the cold, wet and windy conditions at the district cross country event in Bundoora! We congratulate those that finished top 10 to go through to the next stage!
