Prep

Welcome back to Term 2! I have enjoyed watching the Preps reconnect with their peers, teachers and Year 6 Buddies. They have returned with enthusiasm and positive attitudes towards their learning. The students are becoming familiar with the classroom routines, transitions and expectations. 

This week we have been reading stories about Anzac Day and discussing different aspects of each book. In literacy, our focus story for the week has been Anzac Ted. The students identified the story's main characters, setting and main ideas. We also explored new vocabulary from the story. They then responded to the story by participating in a guided drawing of Anzac Ted. 

In Maths, we are learning to subitise. This means we are learning to see numbers without counting dots or objects.
