COMMUNITY SPORTING ACHIEVEMENTS
Congratulations to Isabella A (3RM) and Jack A (2LO) who, late last term, played their first game of football for Greensborough Junior Football Club U9’s. Jack won Player of the Match and Isabella was announced Captain. It was a very special day!
Isabella also won her U10’s Basketball Grand Final for the Eltham Wildcats in her very first season. They defeated the opposing Eltham Wildcats team 20-17.
Well done Isabella & Jack! Keep on shooting for the stars!
Congratulations to Knox H (2AD) who was awarded Player of the Match last weekend, while playing for Montmorency Junior Football Club.
Well done, Knox! Keep on kicking goals!
Xander’s rep basketball team won their tournament last weekend and Xander received the Most Respectful Player award. Well done Xander!
If your child achieves something special (grand final win, most valuable player award, best and fairest etc.), please email me (jordan.daley@education.vic.gov.au) through photos and an overview of the achievement to post in Contact. It is important to celebrate and recognise such successes with the school community.
Thank you,
Jordan Daley
JSC NEWS
The JSC would like to extend a very big THANK-YOU to Eltham Bunnings Warehouse for their very much appreciated donation of tarps for us to use at Greenhills Primary. Our JSC members made a suggestion that it would be nice to have something to sit on during outside activities, such as outdoor assemblies, rather than sitting on the concrete. So, Lisa from Bunnings gladly came to the party, organising enough tarps for our entire school to use. These tarps will also be available for use during excursions and other outdoor activities for classes to use. Well done JSC- keep your ideas coming, and thank you to Bunnings for being so supportive and generous!
Suzie Hussein (Year 1-5 JSC Co-ordinator)
