Year 4 Production

Maria Chadwick

What a blast! Our Year 4 students put a huge amount of effort into this performance, and the result was frivolous fun with a reminder for us all to celebrate  difference without judging it. I hope you were able to choose your favourite monster!

Thank-you to all students for learning the work, persevering with rehearsals and being willing to take yourselves far from your comfort zone. The attitude of ‘whatever it takes’ was adopted by all staff, students and parents involved, and resulted delightful performances! Year 4 teaching team, the goals you helped the students achieve through insisting on a 1% improvement paid off in spades! Your consistent guidance towards excellence was a perfect match for our ‘Be Your Best’ ethos.

My heartfelt thanks also to these key contributors– Sam Thompson (choreography), Annalie Darlington (costumes), Anthony Moran & Eugene Dapper (sets), Wendy Wareham (vocal coach), Tamzine Walsh (Make-Up), Gail Watson (props) – who invested a huge amount of time and effort into the success of this show. Your input helped to bring the story to life in the most vivid of ways and our Year 4 students’ experience of performing was all the richer for it!

Finally, a thank-you to the entire PMPS community for supporting the theatre tradition so strongly. We sold out both shows for the first time ever! I’m immensely grateful to you for the faith you put in our performers.

The next production will be performed by our Year 5 students at Phoenix Theatre, Elwood Secondary College on September 12th & 13th, 2023. Please put these dates in your diary … we look forward to seeing you there!
