A prayer for ANZAC Day
God of Help, God of Love, And God of Peace,
In this season of Easter we rejoice in the New Life your Son the Risen Jesus gives us. You offer us hope. You offer us peace.
We thank you for these treasured lands of ours, and give thanks for our free and peaceful countries of Australia and New Zealand.
As we remember the ANZAC soldiers who fought to protect our countries. Help us to strive for peace in all we do.
We remember and honour those who fought in wars to protect our beautiful land. It is also an important time for us to stop and pray for peace – peace in our world, peace among people in our own country, peace in our families, and peace in our hearts.
We know that war brings sadness, grief and death. We also pray for those in our world who are affected by war at this time.
We make our prayer in the name of the Risen Jesus,
Amen

PARISH NEWS
Parish fortnightly. Welcome back to Term 2. We hope you all enjoyed your Easter break and the fact that we were blessed with some truly beautiful Autumn weather. Over the coming weeks, our Grade 6 children will be preparing for the Sacrament of Confirmation which will be held at St Patrick’s Cathedral on Thursday night 25th May at 7.00 pm. We pray that they continue to grow in their knowledge and love of Jesus and be filled with inspiration by the Holy Spirit. Please keep these children and their families in your thoughts and prayers.
Not much news from the Parish however, on Sunday week we will be celebrating Mother’s Day. We wish all our beautiful Mums a very happy day and hope you are spoilt by your children. We give thanks for our mums and for all they do for families and we pray to the Lord to bless you all. Enjoy your special day!!
Holy Spirit is a child safe parish. We hold the care, safety and well being of children and young people as a central and fundamental responsibility of our Parish.
Spirit Magazine
The March 2023 Spirit Magazine is now being prepared. We would love any contributions you would like to share: photos from a community activity, back to school or first day stories or photos, achievements of our students and Alumni, articles you think worth sharing or a favourite digital resource.
