NEW INSTRUMENTAL TEACHER

Welcome to Mr James Morrissey who has joined the Instrumental team from the beginning of Term 2.  He will be taking a number of clarinet students on a Friday and students are advised to check their Compass schedule carefully.

SYMPHONIC WIND BAND CAMP

Thank you to all the students who attended the Symphonic Wind Band Rehearsal Camp in Dromana from 5 May – 7 May. The standard of playing improved exponentially and we are looking forward to hearing these improvements in upcoming performances. Thank you to Ms Rogerson for organising this camp and to Mr James Morrissey and Mr Martin West for their attendance.

OPEN NIGHT

Thank you to the Senior Stage Band for helping create a warm buzz at the schools’ Open Night on Wednesday 8 May.  A huge thank you also to our student helpers Emily Andjelic, Jasmine Taylor, Qitian Zhang, Sean Malton, Elizabeth Lanaras, Orr Zaacks and Leevi Stein for providing a great demonstration of their musicianship. All students had captivated audiences watching them with the composition tasks, rehearse and answering pertinent questions.  Well done!

GIGS ON THE GREEN

Congratulations to the Year 9 Boys in ‘Boys on a Budget’ (Roie Greenberg, Ori Avriel, Jules Protat and Jonah Rudzki) who performed on the A01 stage on Monday 13 May.  A great crowd were highly appreciative of your preparation and performance.
