A ͯ  Academic Extension Program

UniSA Visit

On Monday, the students of the A ͯ  Academic Extension Program had the privilege of going to the UniSA in town to learn about Radiation Therapy and have a tour of their state-of-the-art health facilities.

Mrs Ruggerio led us through a one-and-a-half-hour class on Radiation Therapy where we learnt about what it is, how it works and what a career as a radiational therapist entails. After this we were granted access to a brand new virtual reality facility where undergraduate students practice and gain skills in Radiation Therapy. This was an excellent opportunity to get a visual perspective on what Radiation Therapy is and how it works.

Finally, an old scholar of UniSA gave us a tour of the facilities, where we saw what the university offers and the different facilities available for various courses. Overall, this afternoon was an excellent opportunity for the A ͯ  Program to learn about studying health, particularly in the area of Radiation Therapy.
