100 Days of Prep
Yesterday our Prep students aged considerably to celebrate 100 Days of Prep! The day consisted of all things 100 – including their age!
As a school it has been extremely rewarding watching this year’s Prep cohort learn and grow. Our June Assessment of their performance when measured against the Victorian Curriculum has been phenomenal, with 96% meeting or exceeding benchmark. This is a product of both our first year of uninterrupted learning in three years and the research based, pedagogical practices our school draws upon to deliver curriculum at each child’s point of need.
Well done Preps, all the best on the next 100 days of your school journey at our great school!
Do you follow our school on Facebook?
A great way to celebrate learning at our school is to follow our school’s public Facebook site. Our page celebrates student engagement in learning and is a great way to stay in touch with everything that is going on at our school!
Yesterday the Junior School had lots to share, with posts about the Year 1 Taskworks Incursion (aligned to their Forces Unit of study) and the Year Two Candlebark Walk Reserve Excursion (Maths – Mapping).
Traffic Management
Traffic management remains an ongoing issue along Campaspe Drive, particularly on cold or wet mornings. Our school has allocated more duty staff, promoted awareness, called out individual offenders and connected with Maroondah Council in support of safe movement of families around our school, however it all seems somewhat in vain at times.
I implore drivers to consider their actions.
Please take your hands off your phones, focus on the traffic conditions, watch out for pedestrians, obey street signs, obey the law, and be patient when required.
Road safety is everyone’s responsibility!
