Staff and Student Absences- Early Learning Centre and Junior School
As we enter Week Three of term, staff and student absences due to COVID and various strains of the flu have increased. At present, we have been able to cover staff internally alongside a dwindling pool of local CRTs (causal relief teachers). All Hamilton schools are in the same boat; scrambling to cover absent staff. If these absences increase in the coming weeks, we may need to look at students from classes we can’t cover being placed with work in another classroom. We will endeavour to keep you informed. In a letter sent on 29 July, Dr. Hirst outlined the following measures the College will undertake in the next fortnight.
*All staff, students (Prep-12) and visitors wear masks indoors when on site.
*Any Early Learning Centre student who is a household contact to remain home.
