Thank you to everyone that donated prizes and purchased raffle tickets for the P&F Sheepvention raffle. It was wonderful to see so many current families, past families and alumni pop into The Hamilton and Alexandra College marquee at Sheepvention to purchase some last minute raffle tickets and have a chat. 

Congratulations to the lucky raffle prize winners - 1st Palida Woosantia, 2nd Penny Adamson and 3rd Marita Falkenberg. We raised over $1,500 which is a fantastic effort by all involved and will go toward important school endeavours that benefit our children. 

A great example of the support the P&F provides to the school is keynote speakers for students and parents. On Monday night, Cyber Safety expert, Susan McLean, gave an informative and quite sobering talk on ‘Growing up online- reality and risk’. Susan’s obvious passion for keeping children safe online was based on extensive experience within the police force and advising educational institutions both nationally and internationally. Thank you to the many parents who attended this event, from College and the wider community. Our Senior School children spent time with Susan on Tuesday and I am sure she will have given them quite a bit to think about! 

Lastly, the planning and preparation has begun for our annual major fundraiser – College Christmas cakes! On Wednesday 10 and Friday 12 August between 9am and 12pm we invite you to the Roxburgh Café to assist with cutting cake tin liners.  Bring your own scissors, a straight hand and a sense of humour and we will buy you a coffee!  Everyone is welcome and it is great way to meet new people, even if you can only spare an hour or two. We hope to see you there!
