College Captains' Report

On Thursday 4 August, the Year 10s had their Wellbeing Day, where they got to partake in a Toolbox Education session on Thinking Traps, a game of bubble soccer, a self-defense lesson and an information session about Road Safety. Hopefully, all Year 10s were able to get something out of it, or even just use it as an opportunity to refresh and recharge mid-term.

Recently, the Year 9s had their Morrisby Interviews, where they got to speak with a guided counsellor about their career profile and employability skills. They also discussed pathways to the jobs and careers they want to reach and what they can do from now to get there. This was a great opportunity as it provided valuable insight into different pathways available to reach their dream jobs and do something they love. Also, in Year 9, a new Innovate curriculum has begun, which involves the Year 9 cohort doing a few different subject units throughout the rest of the semester. Some of the units include cooking and woodwork, and the Year 9s are looking forward to trying all of them!

The effort and time invested into the Production paid off as the 'High School Musical' cast made their debut over the weekend. A huge shout-out to everybody involved!

We had the school-wide House Athletics Day yesterday and everyone dressed proudly in their house colours and got involved in as many events as possible to help win points for their house! We loved seeing people’s amazing outfits and cheering on our fellow house members as they competed on the day.
