Student Engagement

Ben Clancy & Will Hawtree - PE Department

JSA proudly celebrates our very first annual Colour Run. This year due to its previous cancellation will be running on the same date as the Father's Day Stall, so please remember both exciting events.

Held on Friday 2nd of September, Jacana School for Autism will be hosting a Colour Run for each of the sub-schools. The focus on colour provides the opportunity to celebrate diversity amongst the school community and integrate key messages around cultural diversity, disability, gender equality, Koorie and LGBTIQ inclusion, and the engagement of all students no matter their background, gender or ability.

We are planning for students to join in the fun by passing through colour zones and getting covered in coloured powder whilst completing an obstacle course around the school grounds. Students can run, walk, skip, hop – whatever they fancy. Dressing up is a must to tackle the colour explosion course, with coloured accessories such as tutus, fairy wings, clown wigs, headbands, and various other novelty wear. Be sure to wear a white top or t-shirt to really make the coloured powder stand out.

We look forward to students participating in what will be a bright, energetic and colourful event.

Parents and Carers are allowed to attend the event as well!
