2022 School Theme - Embedding Learning and Wellbeing
On Friday 12th August our teachers participated in a Professional Planning Day and worked offsite whilst our teacher aides workforce ( including our casual agency staff) engaged in a full day focused on developing their skills and knowledge. Investing time to build our human resources is critical in embedding consistency in practice. The day was facilitated by our fabulous leaders. Embedding consistent practices and expectations across the school enables us to continue to achieve our strategic plan goals.
Focus topics included:
- Active supervision
- Reasonable adjustment (Autism practices)
- Making number and algebra fun for our students
Thank you to parents and carers for your support and allowing us time during the year to invest in our staff.
Our next PUPIL FREE Day is Friday 9th September where will be inviting Real Schools to launch our partnership..... stay tuned for more details.
WE WANT OUR PARENTS/CAREGIVERS/GUARDIANS TO TELL US WHAT THEY THINK!
Our school is conducting a survey to find out what parents/caregivers/guardians think of our school. The Parent/Caregiver/Guardian Opinion Survey is an annual survey offered by the Department of Education and Training that is designed to assist schools in gaining an understanding of families’ perceptions of school climate, student behavior, and student engagement. We encourage all families to participate in this survey. Our school will use the survey results to help inform and direct future school planning and improvement strategies.
While previously a random sample of approximately 30 per cent of parents/caregivers/guardians have been selected to participate, this year, all families are invited to participate in the survey.
The Parent/Caregiver/Guardian Opinion Survey will be conducted from Monday 15th August to Friday 16th September.
The survey will be conducted online, only takes 20 minutes to complete, and can be accessed at any convenient time within the fieldwork period on desktop computers, laptops, tablets or smartphones. The online survey will be available in a range of languages other than English. These include: Arabic, Vietnamese, Simplified Chinese, Chin (Hakha), Hindi, Japanese, Somali, Turkish, Punjabi and Greek. Please speak to your child’s teacher if you would like more information.

Reminders
Unwell Students
Each morning when students are getting ready for school, I ask that you be mindful of how your child is presenting. If they/he/she is feeling/looking/acting unusual or is complaining of being unwell please take them to the doctor. Minimising the cross-infection will assist in reducing the risk of spreading the winter bugs and viruses.
All student absences can be made through the dedicated student absence notification number. Text the student's name, room number and reason for absence.
Make sure you have the student absence notification number saved in your contacts:
0439 114 197.
