Australian Youth Climate Council Workshop Tomorrow

On Friday 12 August, representatives from the Australian Youth Climate Council (AYCC) are coming to present a workshop during Long Tutor and into lunchtime, from 12 noon to 1.30pm. The AYCC Workshop is taking place in the lecture theatre at the High School. Specific information has been sent to parents of students who are participating, via Operoo. Years 7-12 Athletics Carnival

Domain Athletics Centre

Thursday 18 August,  8.30am - 3.30pm

 

General Details

This year we welcome all Years 7-12 students to participate in the House Athletics Carnival. There are no classes on this day and everyone is expected to be at the Domain to join together as a School community to celebrate an enjoyable day of Athletics.

 

All students are to make their own way to the Domain Athletics Centre on Thursday 18 August arriving no later than 8.30am. Sign in will be at the front gate. Students will be dismissed from the Domain at 3.30pm. Transport back to School has been organised for students who need to catch Roberts or Lovell's Coaches and the Eastern Shore Metro service.

 

There are no formal classes for Clemes students who must either participate in service or the events at the carnival. Any Clemes students driving to or from the event in their car must have completed and signed the car registration form at the Clemes Office. Any student passengers must have submitted a parental permission note at the Clemes Office.

  • This is a normal school day and parents are requested to ring the School on 6210 2200 from 8.30am, if their child cannot attend.
  • Students unable to participate will have opportunities to help out with service.
  • Students must wear either their Friends' sports uniform or full School uniform to the carnival and are encouraged to wear house colours when competing in events. 
  • Students should bring a warm coat, raincoat/japara, hat and a drink bottle.
  • The kiosk at the Domain will be operating throughout the day.
  • In the case of adverse weather on the day, the event's cancellation will be emailed out to students and guardians.
