Year 12 IB Mock Examinations
The Year 12 IB examinations will be running through until next Tuesday, August 16. Information, including the examination timetable, has already been shared with students and families.
Wednesday, August 17 is the Chemistry IA Day. There will be no Year 12 IB scheduled classes on this day. It will also be the day in which catch-up examinations will run.
Students are reminded that if they are unwell during examinations, it will be necessary to present a medical certificate (a pharmacy or telehealth medical certificate are adequate). If they have a positive RAT test, they are required to register this with Public Health as well as completing the School’s eform.
Year 12 2023 Leavers’ Tops
Current Year 11 students recently voted for their Leavers’ Top design and Year 12 Charity. The tops will be manufactured by a Tasmanian company, Uniform City, and we are hopeful they will be ready for students in the first weeks of Term 1 in 2023. Over the next fortnight, an Operoo form will be sent to parents and carers with further details. The total cost will be $105, including an optional donation to SPEAK UP! Stay ChatTY, and this can be added to the school account or paid via the Main Office (6210 2200). Students are encouraged to listen carefully to the daily notices for further information regarding sizes and nicknames.
Year 12 2022 Leavers’ Dinner
The Year 12 Leavers’ Dinner will be held from 6.15-10.30pm on Friday the 23rd of September, the second last week of Term 3. Students will receive an invitation in the next two weeks and an Operoo form will be sent to parents and carers with further details. This school event is a chance to reflect on the Quaker Testimonies and the importance of gratitude and community and celebrate the 2022 Leavers.
Year 11 IB Core Days
The Year 11 Core Days will take place on the following days. All Year 11 IB students will be out for the entire day. Students have been spoken to about these days and information will be sent out to families tomorrow. An overview of each day is below:
EE Day: Tuesday, August 16 - The Extended Essay in focus
TOK Day: Wednesday, August 17 - TMAG: Knowledge and Indigenous Societies
TCE August Exams
TCE August Exams run until next Tuesday 16th August (inclusive). Students were given a copy of our information booklet last term, containing lots of relevant information, including the exam timetable. It is important that students familiarise themselves with this document and that they ensure they are on time for their exams.
Students only need to come to school when they have an exam during this period but are welcome to come in and study in the library or Undercroft if they would like. Formal school uniform is not required during the exam period.
Instructions were also shared with students in assembly on Monday, the presentation is available to be viewed here.
