From the Classroom
Grade 4
After Breakfast Club on Wednesday, Mrs Kennedy gave us all the student menus. We used the menus to see how many of each menu item was ordered.
Each student recorded tally marks on a table and added up the total of each item. They used this data to create a bar graph in their maths books. Students then got to record the information on Google Sheets and experiment with the ‘chart’ tool to make pie graphs, scatter plots and doughnut graphs.
We have attached some below.
PE
Students in Foundation and Grade One have been enjoying the Perceptual Motor Program (PMP) on a Friday. The learning focus has been ball throwing and kicking. Students have used various sized balls and objects to throw, kick or bounce at targets. Each small group has a Grade 6 leader to help demonstrate and run each activity which lasts for 3-4 minutes before rotating to the next activity. Below are some pictures from last week.
Music News with Mrs Sibio
Students are enjoying playing and performing this term. We have received our new instruments and there is lots of exploring and learning happening in Music classes. Grade Two are shown here playing the Boomwhackers, working together to play a song. They have also been learning the Ocarina, discovering how to hold their fingers and blow a pleasing tone. Stay tuned for more pictures of what the other grades are up to!
