Armidale Eisteddfod Success

Congratulations to our Upper Division students on their success at last week's Armidale Eisteddfod. Our class ensemble group won their section and our choir was awarded highly commended.  Special thanks to Jess Suann from NECOM who teaches our students music lessons every Tuesday afternoon.  We are looking at how we can involve more students in such events for 2024 and beyond.  

An Evening with ACOS

Our students involved in the ACOS Choir have attended their first rehearsal with Miss Miller, as they begin preparations for An Evening with ACOS early next term. The second rehearsal will be held next Wednesday 21st June. Please see below the music/lyrics of each song.  

The first orchestra rehearsal will be held on Wednesday 26th July. Please also find below a copy of one of the musical pieces.  The second one is to be sent through this week.

Upper Division Science Request

Next week we will continue to look at NATURAL substances that can be used for waterproofing.  We would like to test out some BEESWAX or linseed oil, if anyone has any at home they are willing to donate to this scientific investigation?! (Scraps of natural fabrics like hessian, cotton and/or linen to test on would also be gladly received).  Thankyou - Kirrily Hahn, Science Teacher
