An absolutely massive term for the JMSS music team in 2023. 

First, the Chamber Choir and JMSS Stage Band traveled to South Australia to participate in the Generations in Jazz Festival in Mount Gambier. Both groups were very well received, and a huge congratulations to Estelle Roberts who won best drummer in our division, which earned her the title of Superband Drummer. 

Following this, over 50 JMSS music students went to Music Camp in Safety Beach. 

Music Camp was a great time, with rehearsals, talent shows, campfire marshmallow roasting sessions, and lots of other entertainment and community building. 

In late May, 30 JMSS students participated in the North Eastern Victorian Region combined schools music concert at Hamer Hall. The JMSS Chamber Choir provided entertainment music in the foyer at the preshow. JMSS students represented across a diverse range of ensembles including the Wind Symphony, the Combined Secondary Choir, and the elite level Orchestra. 

Looking ahead, there are plans for a large Winter Concert in Term 3, watch this space!
