Pitch2Panel Program ~ Invitation to parents

Year 10 Issues Studies

Dear Parents,

We are thrilled to invite you to the Year 10 Issues Studies John Monash Science School & Monash Tech School Pitch2Panel Program. This exciting event showcases the incredible work our students have done in envisioning and implementing sustainable solutions for a simulated city facing a range of social, economic, and environmental challenges.

Using Minecraft for Education as their platform, our students have immersed themselves in designing and redeveloping their cities, aiming to create a sustainable future. They have learned about urban planning, problem analysis, and innovative design choices, all while addressing the concerns of various stakeholders in their cities.

The 8 winning student groups from each class have now advanced to the Monash Tech School Pitch 2 Panel Program, where they will have the opportunity to present their "Pitch" to industry and community experts. These esteemed professionals will provide invaluable feedback and insights, further enhancing our students' understanding of sustainable urban development.

We believe that attending this event will not only support our young visionaries but also provide you with an opportunity to learn more about sustainable urban planning and contribute to the ongoing dialogue on building vibrant, resilient communities.

Please mark your calendars for Wednesday, the 12th of July, and join us in the Woodside Building for Technology and Design at Monash University Clayton. The event will begin at 9 am, and we kindly ask that you arrive at 8:40 am for registration. It promises to be an unforgettable occasion celebrating the passion, innovation, and dedication of our students as they strive to create a more sustainable future for all of us.

To secure your spot, please register through the Monash Tech School's Eventbrite page: https://www.eventbrite.com.au/e/pitch-2-panel-tickets-643422462907.
