Apple Distinguished Educator

This week Miss Melissa Myles has ventured over to the Gold Coast to take part in the Apple Distinguished Educator Conference. The Apple Distinguished Educator program recognises educators around the world who are using Apple technology to transform teaching and learning. These educators are active leaders who help other educators rethink what’s possible with technology and strive to make learning deeply personal for every student.

Apple Distinguished Educators are creators who create resources for their students. Apple Distinguished Educators go through a rigorous acceptance process, in fact in the whole of Western Australia there are less than 40 Apple Distinguished Educators! The program runs professional development for these teachers, including a biannual conference that you must be selected to attend.

This year, 3 existing Apple Distinguished Educators were chosen from Western Australia to represent our state at the Asia-Pacific ADE Conference, one of them being our very own Miss Myles. We are vey lucky at St Helena's to have Miss Myles working with our students and staff, sharing her knowledge and skills.

Check out some of the amazing digital resources that Mel has created over the years.
