Deadly Reflections
Mrs Hambley and Mrs Seen
Our Deadly students have been meeting regularly during the term to connect with each other, learn dance and share culture. Students in years 3 - 6 were given the task of sharing their culture through poetry. We are very proud of their compositions!
My Land, by Cooper Bramman
Tall trees, Open lands. Green, orange, brown. Respecting our Country, Respecting our land.
Birds, wind on leaves. Sounds of the goanna climbing for prey.
The sun is big and bright. The sun creates a fire. Our world is our mother. |
Our Term 2 Yarn and Tucker was a great opportunity to celebrate goal achievements with our First Nation families and students. We are very thankful to extended families that came to support this process. Yarn and Tucker is a time for students, teachers and parents/caregivers to complete their Personalised Learning Pathways (PLPs). It was a time to connect with our future deadly leaders.
LARC is a community of schools event for our deadly students. Our deadly students are part of a community of schools with Ruse Public School, Kentlyn Public School and Leumeah High School. Term events are planned which various First Nation students are invited to attend. On 1 June, deadly students in Years 2 - 4 visited Ruse Public School for cultural experiences. This was a great opportunity for our students to connect with their peers.
