Athletics Incursion – Grades 3 to 6

Our Grade 3 to 6 students will be involved in a three week athletics incursion held during their normal PE time slot this term.  A coach from Athletics Australia will attend Mullum PS to instruct our students on the finer points of the many athletic disciplines.  These are free incursions funded by Sporting Schools.

Warrandyte South Interschool School Sport Winter Finals

The Winter Interschool Sport season for our Grade 5/6 students involved six weeks of Friday afternoon matches in Term 2, against three schools in our District.  All teams improved over the season with our Hot Shots Girls and Netball Girls teams making it to finals.  This final was played on the last day of Term 2. Congratulations to all of our players with the Netball Girls teams winning their Warrandyte South District final and progressing to the Maroondah Division Final on 21 July at 10am.   Our Hot Shots Girls team will play in the Maroondah Division Final in Term 4.

House Athletics

On Tuesday 1 August we have our whole school House Athletics carnival.  This is run at Proclamation Park and involves students from Foundation to Grade 6! Many parent helpers our needed for this event to run smoothly and safely.  If you are available to help I would love to hear from you via our sign up sheet https://signup.com/go/vqFhDGg  , in person or visit our office staff (Kate, Lou or Kelli) and they will pass on your availability to help.  Thank you to parents and grandparents who have already added their name to our volunteer list.

All helpers needed a Working With Children's Card and to have done our volunteer induction.  If you are unsure how to do this, then please contact our office – 9870 2120.

If it rains on the 1 August, a back up date of 8 August has been booked.

A notice has been sent home via Compass, ready for you to give consent and pay the bus cost.
