Acknowledgement of Country Workshop

On Wednesday, 21st June 2023, our Aboriginal students, School Leaders and School Representative Council students engaged in an Acknowledgement of Country workshop with Aunty Carol. Aunty Carol visited us to share expert knowledge about the difference between Acknowledgement of Country and Welcome to Country. She also taught us the importance of culture and language and how special it is for people to know different languages. 

We were excited to feel crocodile skin, wallaby fur and play the clapping sticks after learning about Aboriginal technology and inventions. 

The workshop was valuable, and we hope to have more visits from Aunty Carol.
