The Forces PBL ‘Toy Time’ was a great success! Students were challenged to design and construct a toy specifically tailored for 8-12 year-olds, that incorporated a simple machine. We are proud of their creativity, innovation and problem-solving skills.

At the end of last term, our Year 11 Chemistry students took a step towards a greener future. They delved into the world of bio plastics and made plastic from potatoes! As part of their ongoing discussions about the environmental impact of fossil fuel-based plastics, the students were excited to learn about the potential of bio plastics and how they can help reduce our reliance on non-renewable resources.

Our Year 12 Biology students have successfully wrapped up Semester 1 by completing their Unit 4, Area of Study 3 student-designed investigations. Working in pairs, they designed an investigation that studied the effect of a variable on either photosynthesis or respiration. Students then conducted their experiments in class, collated the results and presented their findings in a final scientific poster write-up.
They've demonstrated true scientific curiosity and dedication, and we're immensely proud of their efforts and the incredible insights they've gained.
