Grade Six

Term 1 in Grade 6 has been absolutely amazing so far and everyone is excited for their final year of primary school.

Early in the year, each Grade six class got a chance to go to Wilsons Promontory for our Grade 6 camp. Everyone had an amazing time! Mount Oberon, hikes, surfing, Tidal River and so much more were some of the biggest highlights. One of the best memories that we will keep forever was the visit from the local wombat, Boris, during our outdoor cinema experience.

Back at school we have been busy getting into our English and Maths lessons. In English we have been writing recounts with a focus on making them really descriptive and interesting to read. In Maths we have been revising the four processes and learning about prime, composite, square and triangular numbers. We have also started to learn about the Government through our Integrated unit.

Some other highlights for Term 1 have been Interschool Sports. We have all loved learning a new sport and competing against different schools. We are really excited about our upcoming Gala Day.

This term has been a great start to our final year of primary school, and we can’t wait for everything that is going to happen in 2023.
