Around The School

One of the highlights of the year for our Year 6 students is receiving their Year 6 jumpers. The jumpers come complete with their names on the front and graduating year on the back. We are sure you will agree they are looking pretty smart.

Hawks Visit

Our Year 5 and 6 students were lucky to have a visit from three Hawthorn players today.  They began with a Q & A session and then moved onto the oval for a footy clinic where the Preps and Year 1's joined in too.  Amy in Year 6 and Zara in Prep (as well as a couple of staff members!) were star struck to meet some Hawks players in person!

New Chickens

This week we were gifted 4 new chickens from the family of Caesar in Year 3.  The students are loving having chickens to care for again.  It was only fitting that Caesar took home the very first egg!

Year 6 Camp

Last week the year 6s went to camp Coonawarra. There were so many fun activities like a maze, canoeing, giant swing, horse riding, pool and much more. The food was great on the first night we had pasta bake then we had apple pie we all had free time and we went to bed it was lovely. We had new and fun activities every day it was an awesome last camp.

CAMP 2023

When we finally got off the bus my friend and I were so excited to finally go eat lunch!

Then we found out our cabins and all that kind of stuff.

The next day we went to all of our amazing activities. I went to high ropes and canoeing the was heaps more though. My very favourite activities were canoeing and horse riding they were so much fun, I got a horse named puzzle he was a big horse and he was brown and white. Have you ever gone horse riding? That night we had an amazing dinner it was pasta bake. We were so lucky to get apple crumble it was delicious. After that, we all had showers and went to bed yay.

Some of the activities that we did were horse running, rafting making (I fell off my raft backwards twice), continuing, high ropes, giant swing, zip line and archery. It was amazing can it was extravagant. We were all in the pool as well, it was heaps of fun! it was excellent! We all had so much fun at camp Coonawarra. Oh yeah, we also went on a night hike that was heaps of fun, a lot of horse poo though.

Hi. I’m Xavier and this is my Coonawarra Camp experience. What I liked about my time there, was the activities. They were so exhilarating and thrilling. My personal favourite was the zip line, the reason I loved it so much was that there is just something amazing about soaring through the air. I also beat my friend Leo in rock, paper scissors when we were still mid-air. The food was great. My favourite meal was the chicken schnitzel. It was delicious but I also liked the apple crumble. That was my 2023 Coonawarra Camp experience.
