Year 11 Reflection Day #1

On Monday the Year 11 cohort travelled to our Oxford Falls Sporting Complex to participate in the first of two Reflection Days. This first day focused upon the leadership role that all students will undertake as the Senior Students of the College. Scripture based upon Jesus’ model of Servant Leadership provided the backdrop to our prayer and day. We were fortunate to have Lachlan Mathie (College Captain 2020) as our guest presenter who was able to provide insight into student leadership opportunities at the College. Lachlan spoke passionately about his tenure in leadership with topics such as: what were some barriers, successes, how to make the most of your time in leadership and how to develop your leadership skills. His insightful presentation provided the impetus for many questions from the Year 11 students.

Our day concluded with time for the students to reflect upon their own leadership, with the story of the Passion of Christ providing a comparative exercise students judged themselves against. We look forward to our Class of 2024 taking the reins for their time as our College leaders.

Our Lady of Dolours Youth Mass

This Sunday 26 March, students from St Pius X College and Mercy College will join with the Youth Ministry Team of the parish to celebrate the monthly Youth Mass, commencing at 5:30 pm. St Pius X students will be assisting as Eucharistic Ministers, readers and will also provide a summary of the coming weeks events at the College. All students and families are welcome to join us, along with the opportunity to join with the youth ministry events at the parish.
