Student Representatives

Football (Soccer)

On 13th March we had Javier P, Kieran C, Audrey P, Sophie A and Emma B who all qualified for the Sydney Football Trial. This was a tough trial where the most talented football players across Sydney came together to showcase what they do best. Even though we only had one student progress to the MacKillop Trial, to even be a part of the Sydney Trial is a huge achievement in itself. Then to have 5 students represent our school is something to be proud of. Good-luck to Sophie A who will participate at the MacKillop Trial on 26th May in Goulburn.

Sydney Swimming

On Monday 27th March we have 13 students competing at Sydney Olympic Park at the Sydney Swimming Trials. Good-luck to Sophie A, Charli M, Lana B, Maya E, Dennis L, Beatriz RP, James S, Hudson S, Lucy T, Oscar T, Evie T, Noah V and Abigail W.

Years 2-6 School Cross Country Trial

Our Cross Country Trial is fast approaching. Entries have now closed to enter your child for this trial. If you haven’t started preparing yourself for this trial, start jogging safely around your local park to improve your fitness levels. The trial will be held at Waratah Cycle Track and surrounding ovals on Monday 3rd April. Students will all walk back to school at the conclusion of the event under teacher supervision.

Boys and girls will compete separately. The first 4 placings will progress to the Sydney Cross Country Championships held next term. Here are the categories and distances:

  • 8/9 years girls and 8/9 years boys (born 2014/2015) - 2km
  • 10 years girls and 10 years boys (born 2013) - 2km
  • 11 years girls and 11 years boys (born 2012) - 3km
  • 12/13 years girls and 12/13 years boys (born 2011/2010) - 3km.

Students participating can wear their own running attire to school but they must change back into their sports uniform at school after the trial. We are offering this personal choice of attire so students are running in their most comfortable gear.

Rugby League Girls Development Day

We had 11 Year 5 and 6 girls who attended the Rugby League Development Day on March 13th at Heffron Park, Maroubra. Thank you to NRL and CSNSW Sport for hosting this day. The girls gained a lot through the skills and drills sessions before applying it all into the game. The girls were also inspired with a meet, greet and question time with some of the Women in League who play for the Roosters and Rabbitohs. What a great day in beautiful weather. Thank you to the parents for making the effort to drive the girls to Maroubra and support the girls on the day. Well done to Piper B, Emily B, Elsie B. Clara C, Emily G, Isabel M, Clea P, Gracie R, Matilda S, Isabella S and Jessica T.

Could we please have all students wash and return representative shirts to the school office, unless you are in the Level 1 Netball Gala Team.

Great Whites Legends Gala Day

On Tuesday 14th March we had 2 boys and 1 girls team participating in the Great Whites Gala Day at Gwawley Oval, Taren Point. Mrs Miller and Mrs Mahoney had a fun but challenging day with the weather. Unfortunately the day was abruptly cut-short due to the overwhelming rain that hit our area. There is no doubt it was still a fun day despite the minimal games played. Once again thank you to the parents who either volunteered their time as managers to guide our students or who came along for support and braving the weather.

Could we please have all students wash and return the League Jerseys to the school office.
