IB News

As part of our transition program to year 11 and 12, our year 10 students have been looking into both VCE and the International Baccalaureate as options.

We were fortunate to welcome back former SCHS student Dravin to talk to us about his motivation to pursue the IB Diploma. Dravin outlined the structure of the IB and the benefits. There was a great deal of interest in the program with many students asking questions. Dravin believes that Suzanne Cory ideally prepares students to study the IB as our curriculum and focus on sport, leadership and co-curriuclar strongly supports the requirments of the IB.

He is excited about the opportunities the IB will afford him for both study here in Australia

or internationally if he so chooses.

To help families support their children in the senior pathway decision making process, we held a webinar outlining the International Baccalaureate whereby both Dravin and his father generously gave their time to share their perspective of the IB.

The webinar and video are below.

The Year 10 Subject selection pathway is outlined on the Parent News  page in this newsletter.
