Wellbeing at Newlands

We are pleased to announce that Raquel will be joining our Wellbeing Team next week. Below is a message from her introducing herself. Raquel will spend the first week getting to know everyone by spending time in each classroom and outside during recess breaks.

A more detailed report on what Raquel's roll will be at Newlands and how parents will be able to engage with her will be provided in next weeks newsletter.

Hello! I’m Raquel, and I am thrilled to be joining Newland’s Primary School and community.

I am passionate about supporting children and their families. I have been working in this space for over 5 years, specialising in disability and mental health. Over this time, I have worked with children and all others across the lifespan also working alongside parents and supports to improve their children’s social, emotional, and educational needs. I also enjoy working with animals and am a registered dog handler in animal assisted therapy with my dogs Olly and Finn.

I am keen to be a support to all of you and look forward to meeting everyone at Newlands Primary School.
