Student Voice & Leadership

Peer Support

The Peer Support program is underway with student sessions occurring around the College. On 12th March, to further develop our students skills and leadership experiences, a number of Peer Support Leaders attended the GRIP Leadership Conference in Melbourne.

Induction Ceremony

As part of our College Leadership, we are hosting a formal Induction Ceremony on Monday 25th March to congratulate and acknowledge students achievements.  Student recipients will receive their badges and following the proceedings, we will be holding a celebratory morning tea for students and families who have been invited along to share this occasion.  We look forward to sharing photos of the event in our next newsletter.

Student Council

Congratulations to Sarvesh Kumar, 7A who was voted in as 2019 student Representative for our College Council.  We look forward to working with you in 2019.

12OED Student Voice

On Thursday 7th March the Year 12 OED class left school and drove to Dan Remo for a lunch stop, before heading into Phillip Island for a surf lesson at YCW Beach. We surfed for 2 hours and only a few of us mastered the skills of standing up on the surf board. After surfing, we went to the caravan park and set up our tents. The girls crushed the boys at the camp set-up. For dinner we walked into Cowes main street and had dinner and ice cream. The evening consisted of a walk along the beach with a little rock pool ramble as the sun was setting behind the cliff. The next morning we woke up pretty early to get out tents packed up and then drove to Kitty Miller Bay to go Snorkelling. After Snorkelling we went for a walk along Cape Woolamai Beach to the Pinnacles, before beginning our journey back to school. Overall a super fun camp.  Olivia Mepstead
