From the Principal...

Acting REC

Mrs Scully will be going on Maternity Leave from the 23rd March until the end of 2018. During the time that Mrs Scully is on leave Mrs Teonie Flynn will be Acting Religious Education Coordinator and Curriculum Coordinator. I congratulate Mrs Flynn on her appointment to this role!

Mrs Flynn will continue to teach Year 5 for 2.5 days per week and Mrs Frances Tafra will join the Year 5 collaborative teaching team and co-teach with Mrs Croft the remainder of the week. Mr Mackson will teach Indonesian on Wednesday to the Stage 1 and Early Stage 1 children and Mrs Anna-Marie Paul will teach Indonesian on Tuesday to the Stage 2 and 3 students.

Principal's Meeting

Last Thursday and Friday I attended a Diocesan Principal’s Meeting with other principal’s from throughout the Diocese. We were very fortunate to have Catherine Jackson present sessions on Leadership and Change. It was an excellent two days that I look forward to sharing ideas from with my Leadership Team.

NAPLAN Online

This year our Year 3 and 5 students will be doing Naplan online not the paper version of the test, except for the Year 3 students Writing Assessment. As preparation for the online testing in May, students in Year 3 and 5 will do an omnibus test, which contains items from all areas of the Naplan assessment, on Thursday 22nd March. This omnibus test is only a trial of the system and its functionality it is not a part of the students assessment or final results.
