 Year 11 & 12

Year 12s attended the Tertiary Information Sessions at Deakin University on Wednesday afternoon, 19 June, 2019. Students listened to an interesting presentation on aspects of university life and they attended an Expo where university representatives answered questions for students and provided relevant brochures.

 

Year 11 and 12s should attend as many Open Days at Universities as possible to gain an understanding of their chosen courses. Please see compass to Open Day information.

 

Year 10

Work Experience for Year 10s is being held this week from Monday 24 June to Friday 28 June, 2019. The students are going to a variety of places including CSIRO, ANZ, PWC, VIC Roads, Deakin University and the Epworth Hospital. Students will be visited by teachers and the students will gain a better understanding of the workplace,

 

Year 10’s should attend as many Open Days at Universities as possible to gain valuable information about courses and to get an understanding of the campuses and how to access them.

 

 

Year 9

In Term 1, DET introduced a Career Program for all Year 9 students which is being rolled out across Victoria.  The program includes a student career test and a 30 minute interview with a consultant to discuss the results of their career test.

 

Student interviews will finalised early in Term 3. Parents are very welcome to come to the interview with the Consultant and your child.

ATAR Notes – VCE Lectures

During the school holidays, ATAR Notes are holding a variety of Trial Revision Lectures for students who will be undertaking the VCE.

They are held at RMIT University in Melbourne, and feature many subjects including Physics, Maths, Biology, Chemistry, Legal Studies, Ancient History and more!

The lectures are scheduled from Monday 1 to Thursday 4 July, and are completely free to attend.

Code Like a Girl: 3-Day School Holiday Coding Camp: Music & Memory

In this 3-day coding camp, we’ll provide a back-stage look at the intersection of music and technology.
