Dear Parents and Friends,
It was great to see many of you last Tuesday morning for our Shrove Tuesday Pancake Breakfast. A reminder that next Thursday evening we will have our Beginning of Year Picnic on the Turf from 5:30 pm onwards. This is a BYO event and a great opportunity to meet/ mix with other school families. In line with National Child Safe Standards, this is an alcohol-free event.
Athletics Day
Please note that our Athletics Day date has changed for a number of reasons.
Our school Cross Country is also scheduled for early next term:
Weekend Masses Time Change
Please note that Sunday morning masses at St. Joseph’s Beechworth will now be at 9:00 am every Sunday.
Golden Horseshoe Festival
We are still looking for coordinators for both the food stall (food side taken care of), and the parade. Please contact me if you are able to help out.
Watch this space for further details for Easter Saturday. We will be looking for volunteers to help out for a few hours on the stall, mark this date in your diary if you are interested!
Sacraments of Eucharist and Confirmation
This year the school will be working with families and the parish to prepare candidates for the Sacraments of Eucharist and Confirmation. Any candidates who have undertaken the Sacrament of Reconciliation are welcome to participate.

Staffing Updates
Jason Tepper (Learning Support Officer) will be finishing up with us next Friday. We thank Jason for his support and dedication during his time at St. Joseph’s. Dee Morey and Dan Matthews (current Learning Support Officers) will be increasing their hours to continue support in our classrooms for students.
Beechworth and TheirCare would like feedback on the option to commence a Before School Care Program in 2023. The program would run from 7:00 am until school commences. The cost is expected to be $20.00 per session with out-of-pocket expenses of $3.41 after government subsidies. Could you please help us by responding to the survey.
