Swimming Carnival

Our recent BVPS annual swimming carnival was a great success. Students participated in a day of races, house cheering and fun water activities. Our students showed an excellent sense of fair play, encouraging and cheering on their team mates throughout the day. 

We could not run this carnival without support. A huge thank you to our wonderful parents who assisted as timekeepers on the day, your help was greatly appreciated. 

Students in our new Year 6 Leadership team also were invaluable, helping carry out a variety of jobs throughout the day. Well done, Year 6! 

As a result of the carnival, a team of 42 students represented Ben Venue at the Armidale District Carnival on Thursday 16 February.  All students swam their very best, with many students recording improved times from the school carnival. Well done! 

Following these great swims, 14 students have been selected to represent the Armidale District at the North West Regional Carnival on Monday 6 March at the Monckton Aquatic Centre. We wish them good luck for this carnival and look forward to hearing about their results.
