Wellbeing @ BRPS

This term we have a whole school focus on help seeking.

Children can experience all kinds of challenges as they grow and develop. The help-seeking behaviours of children are fundamental to their mental health and wellbeing. Encouraging and fostering help-seeking behaviours is one way to improve mental health and wellbeing. It is important that students are aware of help-seeking avenues and are confident to seek help from an appropriate source when needed.

In class, students are learning about the importance of seeking help and how they can provide support to those around them. They will be participating in scenario-based activities that help students to identify situations in which help should be sought, identify trusted sources of help, and practise seeking help from peers and adults.

We encourage you to talk to your child about what they’re learning during their Wellbeing sessions.
