Fete News...Update

Good afternoon NPS families,

We are already 3 weeks into Term 4 & many positive planning discussions around knowledge sharing, new ideas, fun games, rides, creative & fun stalls, second hand donations & yummo food are well underway for our 2023 Fete!  

Here are some progress updates, requests & reminders:

Date :                          Saturday 18 March 2023 (10am-4pm)  Update your 2023 calendars & spread the word!

Donations :                Request for families to begin saving their quality second hand goods for donation to our Fete stalls.  

We are looking for clean, quality women's, men's & children's clothing / shoes / books / toys / games / puzzles / bric-a-brac / bikes, scootersetcWhen we have found the best area to store all these terrific items ready for sorting, we will let you know where to drop them off. Until then, please hold onto them . . . but watch this space!

Auction Items :          Business owners (or friends of) - it would be amazing to hear from you! Thanks to a few BO’s that have contacted me already. You’re awesome!

Posters :                    Keep working on our Student Fete Poster Design Competition!  Entries must be submitted to the main office no later than Monday 24th October.

Volunteers :              “Put your hands up in the air” to support the biggest annual fundraising NPS community event peeps!!   We already have some superstar parents who’ve stepped up to coordinate various stalls & I KNOW there are more of you out there.

Sooooo, we REALLY need coordinators / leads for each of these stalls ASAP to ensure they can go ahead:

For a bit of comfort, let me tell you there are already good to go instructions on almost every stall on what is required re planning & running them.  Super impressive notes / cheat sheets in fact!  So please do not be concerned if you feel you’ve got no experience in this type of thing . . . neither do I 😉 . . . and remember we are open to all knowledge & skillsets.  To those parents who have contributed before in a lead capacity – you may be more comfortable in a support role this time?  Or perhaps some parents are keen for just a couple of 1 hour shifts on the day – either just you or with help from your own kiddos?All totally cool . . . please just let me know.

** I can also promise to have a ‘roaming roster monitor’ to support ALL our volunteers in getting a break & to help remind of their shift times & where they need to be when **
