Greetings from Shaun

Term 4 is well underway and it has been a busy couple of weeks at Northcote Primary School! This week our Grade 1/2 students headed off to Mount Evelyn on their very first camp. Excitement was in the air on Monday and Tuesday morning as we loaded up the bus with luggage, waved goodbye and watched them as they headed off on their adventure.

Students showed such great team work, enthusiasm and bravery as they participated in a range of outdoor activities, such as the flying fox, giant swing, and hut building. I was lucky enough to be able to visit camp on Monday afternoon and evening and can confirm that our students had definitely worked up an appetite! We were so lucky with the weather this week, students enjoyed the sunshine and the scenic setting of the camp.

A big thank you to our 1/2 teachers for their organisation in preparing for camp and our wonderful parent helpers who went along.

This week and last, we have also had visits from Batman Park kinder students who got to experience life in Prep for the morning. Our current Prep students did such a wonderful job supporting the kinder students in a range of activities. Our Prep information session on Tuesday evening was very well attended and it was great to see our new parents connecting with our current parents who attended the evening. A big thank you to our Prep team for all their work in preparing for these events.
